Clean recycling is better than dirty burning!

Whether it be the realisation of the charitable aims of the associations, to release the burden on our disposal sites or the demands of modern recycling and the trade cycle: There is no alternative anymore to re-using and recycling old textiles.

With the collection and almost comprehensive picking-up of old textiles using a modern container system and the subsequent fine sorting of up to 250 types in own and affiliated sorting plants FWS creates optimum conditions for a social, ecological and economically-useful recycling.

Further use of textiles, which still have wear in them: Clothes for second-hand shops: 5 - 7%. These clothes are sold in countries with a high standard of living. Clothes for export in Europe: 15 - 25%. Clothes for export all over the world: 10 - 20%.

Recycling of textiles, which no longer have wear in them: Cloths for trade and industry, up to 40 different qualities: approx. 25%.

Recycling - Sorting according to basic materials and colours: Woollen cloths 5 - 6%, semi-cloths 3%, woollen knitwear 3%, synthetic knitwear 7 - 8%, material for manufacturing paper and cardboard 2 - 4 %,
bed feathers 1 - 2%, plastic and cardboard packaging 1%.

Waste: Storage on disposal sites and thermal recycling, e.g. individual shoes, defect toys and residual domestic waste 2 - 15%.
