Sorting used textiles takes a lot of experience and expertise and a sure instinct. It is hardly surprising that grading of the goods into as many as 350 quality, colour and usage categories is labour-intensive. The textile recycling industry has created 15,000 secure jobs in Germany alone. Trade with recycled textiles also provides a living for thousands of families around the world.
